Lyle Matthews was a Security officer at Whateley Academy. He was hired in Dec of 2006, and hadn't figured out how to game the system or get on the "payola," that the veteran officers did. He had several encounters with Pejuta and Tatanka, which were biased by a learned prejudice of Native Americans. After a long double shift, he was contacted in his "Dreamspace" by Unhcegila. Unhcegila possessed him during that dream.[1]
Shortly thereafter while assigned as a guard for Kayda, he shoots and injures Officer Lindon, and attempts to kill Kayda. After fleeing, Kayda finds Officer Hicks near the restricted bio-labs. Matthews shot and killed Hicks, then was gored by Tatanka, before being killed by Kayda wielding Hicks sidearm.[2]
