Susan Matthews (The Matthews name is from her second marriage) was a young Candice Kade's best friend. Imp teased her by calling her "Suzie Q.", after the song[1]. She *didn't* respond by calling Imp, Candy, as Imp herself says: "you actually like it when I call you Suzie…and you know I hate being called Candy…”"[2]
History[]
Imp calls her while she changing during her manifestation, telling her that she was sick and contagious.[2] Susan was either involved with young Candice's purchase of David Cassidy and Led Zeppelin posters, or else bought the same posters herself.[3]
After Imp manifests, she lets Susan think she is dead, however she keep track of her and gives her a toaster as a wedding present.[4]
When Susan and her first husband, Greg Payton, cannot have children, Imp arranges for them to adopt her only child. They name him Christopher (Chris).[4]
Susan marries Alan Matthews as her second husband, but by that time Imp has deliberately lost track of them.[4]
Chris eventually manifests as Aegis and comes to Whateley. Since Imp doesn't know about the second marriage, she doesn't recognize Chris.
Imp reestablishes contact with Susan after Chris has Voodude make a tracking amulet that establishes that she and Chris are blood relatives.[5][4]
