Tillinghast glasses are dark glasses tuned to see the disturbances left by Class X entities.[1]
Presumably they're named after Doctor Crawford Tillinghast, who had interactions with Class X entities and saw what is probably their disturbances.
They've been used by ARC investigators looking into the death of Christopher Browning, on November 1, 1945.[1]
